Foliage Followup – August 2011
I went out yesterday with thoughts of Bloom Day in my head and just ended up taking lots and lots of pictures of foliage. Agave ‘Blue Glow’ with Agave geminiflora behind. Agave ‘Kissho Kan’ Agave ‘Sharkskin’ with Anacampseros rufescens in … Continue reading

Two new Agave for the collection
(You know you have too many, or just enough, plants when you start referring to them as a collection instead of “my houseplants”) Agave ‘Kissho Kan’ – I never actually imagined I would find one of these in person. It … Continue reading
New Plant: Agave ‘Blue Glow’
Agave ‘Blue Glow’ With temperatures today threatening to reach the highest recorded temperature in Toronto (38°C, feels like 49°C with humidity) a succulent collection just makes sense.

Agave parryi
I recently found a reference at the Danger Garden to Agave parryi, which is supposed to be hardy to zone 4. Huh… Strange. I’ve never seen one of these for sale around Toronto or heard of anyone growing one of … Continue reading
