Aloe I.D.?
Considering this plant. It is awesome but also expensive. 6″ pot, dwarf and clump forming are both things I like in my Aloes and this one adds some very nice colour. Also, anyone know what it might be?
New Plant: Lithops
Lithops No idea on species or cultivar but happy to have found some white flowering ones. This pot is only sort of temporary for this picture, I’ve got one about the same depth but wider for them, just waiting on … Continue reading
Foliage Followup – August 2011
I went out yesterday with thoughts of Bloom Day in my head and just ended up taking lots and lots of pictures of foliage. Agave ‘Blue Glow’ with Agave geminiflora behind. Agave ‘Kissho Kan’ Agave ‘Sharkskin’ with Anacampseros rufescens in … Continue reading

Two new Agave for the collection
(You know you have too many, or just enough, plants when you start referring to them as a collection instead of “my houseplants”) Agave ‘Kissho Kan’ – I never actually imagined I would find one of these in person. It … Continue reading
New Plant: Agave ‘Blue Glow’
Agave ‘Blue Glow’ With temperatures today threatening to reach the highest recorded temperature in Toronto (38°C, feels like 49°C with humidity) a succulent collection just makes sense.
July 2011 Bloom Day and Foliage Followup
Here’s my Bloom Day for this month and I’ve thrown in two new plants for Foliage Followup as well (no sense having both posts late). Lavendula ‘Munstead’ – Flowers are fading but still very showy. Extremely good year for this … Continue reading

An unfortunately timed order from an excellent company
I have been on the lookout for Amorphophallus bulbifer for a little while now. Last year I tried ordering seeds from a Canadian company and it was a failure, the seeds that needed to be sown fresh were dry an … Continue reading

Salvia ‘Caradonna’ & Sedum ‘Xenox’
Sorry for yet another low quality cell phone picture but figured at least if it’s not the greatest picture at least it shows some fantastic plants. About three years ago I was doing some landscaping and tackled this bed, which, … Continue reading
Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day, June 2011
Today came unexpectedly fast and I’m a little unprepared. Some of these are re-posts and others are new, and don’t forget the Irises which are at the tail end of their blooming now too. Sedum tetractinum Sedum spathulifolium ‘Cape Blanco’ … Continue reading
New Plant, Sedum tetractinum
Sedum tetractinum This is a low spreading Sedum with interesting smooth leaves (setting it apart from the very common ‘Dragon’s Blood’ type Sedums) and pink stems. Fairly normal Sedum-like yellow flowers are nice but I’m definitely growing this for the … Continue reading
