Persicaria polymorpha

Everyone who can grow this should. Thrives in wet soils in sun but as you can see it can still be quite impressive in dry shade.

It would likely make an excellent hedge where traditional shrubby plant materials might be crushed by snow but you need something that can hit over 6 feet fast.

Doesn’t hurt that it pretty well flowers all summer with dead heading too.

Great plant…finally found one at a nursery this spring…so far it’s been a trouper…can’t wait to see it as it settles in and starts to really grow.

Wow, love this one. I’ll keep an eye out for it at the garden centers. I really like that it grows so tall.
