The First Round of Iris Flowers

Iris 'Devil's Playground'
Iris ‘Devil’s Playground’ – Not actually my plant, we’re giving it as a gift to someone but it was here and flowering so here’s a picture.

Iris NOID Dwarf
NOID Dwarf Iris – This has traditionally been the first Iris to bloom for us, not it’s got some competition from some of our other dwarves.

Iris 'Gingerbread Man'
Iris ‘Gingerbread Man’ – A strange brownish sort of Iris, but wow does the blue really pop against the otherwise dull petals.

I really enjoy the early iris and try to stay away from the tall bearded as they seem to be much more susceptible to iris borer here. Your photos are wonderful as are your plants! Larry

Love the multi-hued purples of the dwarf one…like velvet! The contrast in ‘Gingerbread Man’ is pretty striking.

Lucky the person receiving the Devil’s Playground. You have beautiful flowers.
